There are so many opinions of makeup, so many uses of makeup, and so many different intentions behind the use of makeup. The biggest thing that women need to understand is that when you apply makeup, you are enhancing beauty. Not creating it. 

You are already beautiful. You've already been given the blueprint of your own kind of beauty. Applying makeup is not making you beautiful, it's not making you a better person, and it's not going to hide the person that you are. When you give makeup more credit than what's due, you lose a vital part of yourself. Granted, some women love makeup. They love applying it and testing new brands and genuinely have fun with it. That is a totally different thing and should not be confused with someone hiding behind their makeup. Rest assured, there are stronger support systems for insecurity than anything MAC can manufacture.

Embrace what you've been given. By all means, put makeup on if that's just how you roll. Whether people agree to the amount or the brand that you decide to wear; just remember that makeup is an accessory, not a necessity.
